Perhaps more of a g3 Kings Indian idea eg 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nf3 Bg7 4. g3 O-O 5. Bg2 d6 6. O-O Nbd7 7. Nc3 e5 8. e4
c6 9. Re1 Qb6 10. h3 exd4 11. Nxd4 Ng4

There's a similar idea in the ... Kf8 variation of the ... c5 Bb5+ Austrian Attack. The whole line rests on e5 Ng4 not later dropping a piece to Qxg4 because Black can respond ... Bxd4.

With respect to publishing games - I like to see them too. large numbers of similar posts makes the forum difficult to read though.

Joey's idea of amalgamating all of a user's posts into one thread is a good one. Perhaps combined with moving them to Chess Questions or creating a new sub forum for game discussion.

that's it hide away the chess from a chess forum instead have politics -lots of politics, I think the ecf is in danger of losing the whole idea of whats important about chess, do you even like chess jon Bryant I am beginning to wonder.

We need a route and branch 'reappraisal' of who is in the ecf as a position of responsibility supposedly looking after the interests of the chess players but actually in effect power mad egomaniacs.

Would be good

"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

A thread for Alan Llewellyn's games

Post by IM Jack Rudd » Sun Sep 10, 2017 11:51 am

I think I agree with most of the other posters here: Alan's games are interesting and worth discussing, but a separate thread for each one will clog up General Chat. I'm merging them all into this thread.

If by "ecf", you mean the English Chess Federation, you may well be right, but that's another issue. This is an independent site ecforum, where the ecf bit stands for English Chess Forum.

You mean you are something you do not appear to be-I would agree with that

Maybe better to delete the lot, and make the forum even tidier?

Now, that *would* be censorship.
