Ray Keene's Flank Openings used to imply that the Kings Indian Attack was a forced win for White. In this game anyway, Houdini seems to agree. I found on review that I'd had the position at move 9 as Black in 1969 when I had lashed out with .. b5 and as White in 1971 when my opponent punted .. a5.

In the train on the way to the tournament I commented that my opponent was apt to attack the advanced e pawn with g6 and Bg7 and I had recently been trying the idea of trying to sneak in c3 and d4 in those positions where they try to capture on e5.
