If his federation gave a moment's consideration to doing so and if they asked his advice, there does seem little doubt as to what it would be.

But in this particular case, the idea that FIDE officials may have invented or procured the closing of their UBS account is patently daft. I've nothing against conspiracy theories, but please don't bring them into disrepute.
