On the precedent of the Millionaire "coughing Major" case, that might already be illegal. "Pecuniary advantage by deception" was the charge if I recall correctly.
That was abolished by the Fraud Act 2006. Besides, FIDE would sanction you whether or not you obtained a pecuniary advantage. Whether or not there was even a pecuniary advantage up for grabs. They'd sanction you if you did it to earn a master norm.
