New Piece Value Formula

1 point for each reachable square + 1 point for each supporting piece - 1 point for each defending piece. Thoughts?
1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 Nf6 4.Bg5
Black: Uh-oh, my brilliant knight (6 points) is threatened. But if I move it, I can uncover an attack by my queen (4 points) against White's bishop (7 points). Plus, on e4 it will be worth 9 points - the best piece on the board!
