Coverage of the 2018 Chess Championship.

Coverage of the 2018 Chess Championship.

What’s the best way to watch the live action from home of this match if you can’t make it to the venue? Is there a youtube channel broadcasting live with commentary and analysis?

Matches appear to be at 3pm.

It's expected that most of the usual sites will have some form of coverage. Live video of the match may well be restricted to the official site and only available at a price.

Other sites will have the moves and talking heads, unless Agon attempt their usual legal threats and succeed in restricting live coverage of the moves.

The latest ECF newsletter has just appeared in my inbox and has a link to an interesting side event at the Plough. Does anyone know whether this is happening?

It was announced some while ago.

There's a web page.

https://chessfestival.co.uk/

Is there doubt over whether it will take place? Agon perhaps might try to close it with legal threats.

There's nothing about it at the gingergm site

I've had stuff from Ginger GM sayign the side-event is now off because of venue problems ... (or maybe Agon threatened him ...)

Personally I usually just go to Chess Bomb and look for links on there to videos etc. The moves were very quick on chess bomb when karjakin challenged Carlsen.

I have no idea whether or not Agon threatened him, but I understand that there really were problems with the venue.

A shame.

I believe the problem with The Plough is that the company owning it intend refurbishment at that time.
