I have a couple of "broken" clocks. Has anyone tried to repair a DGT by opening it up and re-soldering?
The most frequent issues with DGTs appear to be a dodgy rocker (too much blitz) loose connections (blitz / dropping the clock) or clocks that will turn on BUT won't go past option 1 (buttons don't work perhaps due to storage in damp conditions).

Re: Repairing DGT2010 Clocks
Corroded battery terminals from leaving batteries in is another issue. I tend to cannibalise broken clocks, replacing parts from 2 broken clocks to make one working clock. I haven't gone as far as wielding the soldering iron, but I have replaced battery holders, cleaned battery terminals with baking soda and vinegar, or pulled them apart to adjust rocker mechanisms etc
