New Membership Code Triggers Rating Code creation?

Anyone know what is the average time gap (days) between a brand new ECF membership and the creation of an associated Rating code?

there does not appear to be a standard SLA but I have seen the Membership number progress to a Rating code in about a week or so...

Thanks, this is the time scale I have observed. I was attempting to deduce if there was an API type linkage between the two systems or if the linkage was by means of human intervention.

it would have been great to have a digital interface (all possible today) that would quickly convert the Mem # to Rating code, But the main reason could be the payment processing thread where a human interface may be stepping in to verify the payment has been received before code allocation...

Yes, that is quite understandable.

As it stands I take my hat off to the various IT volunteers who put in the unpaid hours on behalf of the ECF and the chess community.

We have made huge strides with the IT systems for English chess over the last few years.

Many countries (including some not so far away) are languishing in this respect.
