I think that you are referring to the British Isles Co-ordinating Committee.John Upham wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 2:10 pmThe event is organised by British Championship committee rather than the ECF in any case. Having said that I've forgotten who is on the BC committee.
However, you have repeated a common misconception. The British Championships are organised by the ECF.

I don't understand why players from the Irish Republic are allowed to enter the various British Championships.
Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom and it is not a member of the Commonwealth.

Can you remind me of what the BICC co-ordinates and who are the members of the committee please?
Many thanks!

I cannot find on the page you reference a list of the members of the BICC.
Also, what does it coordinate?
Thanks anyway for trying.

Seems first abandon of the tournament, which makes it an odd number of participants

Board 4 tomorrow sees the second 1000-point rating gap of the tournament (the first was Latypova-Arkell yesterday).

Nice en-passant mate today in the Pert Gordon game.

Trying to work out the pairings is an amusing task, but I'm pretty sure Olson-Gormally will be one of them, seeing as Danny has played the other four white-seekers in the scoregroup.
