Actually I think you should recover those direct costs. Around 50 Forum members chipping in £25 contribution would do it. A voluntary contribution by PayPal might be worth it. You never know it might even generate additional cash to enhance the live games coverage.

I never said anything about you criticising the planning; I merely commented on your playground approach in saying because the ECF have not done things the way YOU think they should, you were thinking of withdrawing your services.

Unless I am missing something I have not suggested a way I think things should be done?

I also note that you still have not answered my question on how you came to the conclusion I have no knowledge of the situation !

Carl .. you criticised the ECF in saying you thought there had been a lack of planning - and so YOU obviously thought things should have been planned in a different manner !

There may well be an internal mailing list, but just as YOU have made it into a public matter by your posts in this forum; so others on that list could also have leaked certain information in other ways !

The matter at hand is that Carl Hibbard said to me "Since you have zero knowledge of the issues ... " (as well as issuing a personal insult).

I was just asking Carl Hibbard to prove how he can be 100% confident that he is correct with that fact ... or was he just ASSUMING I might not know anything ? If so, he should not just post a comment without thoroughly checking its credibility.

Carl Hibbard has already had to remove another comment of his about me from another thread after he admitted it was not a proper statement to publish.

As Adam Raoof also pointed out ... would he (and everyone else who Carl Hibbard thinks has no knowledge of the situation) also be considered as a numpty ?

Carl's assumption that you had zero knowledge of the situation was based on the fact that you weren't on the mailing list discussing these things. If he was assuming you might not know anything, this is what it was based upon.

Should you have magically acquired this knowledge from other sources - which, let's remember, absolutely no one else other than the mailing list were privy to (even the Board was omitted from this based on subsequent posts) - then you're right, he was wrong to make that assumption.

So either you actually don't know what's going on, or Carl made a wrong assumption - albeit one that had very sound logic behind it. I don't see how either of these conclusions warrant the subsequent fracas.
