Arbiter courses

Post by Jacques Parry » Fri Dec 06, 2019 9:32 am

The website says: "The ECF will organise a minimum of three ECF Arbiter Seminars per year... The ECF will aim to increase the number of seminars to a minimum of five per year by 2019." This year there appear to have been two, and I assume there won't now be time for a third. I emailed the Manager of Arbiters some time ago to ask what was going on, but got no response. Does anyone know?

The December 2019 edition of Arbiting Matters Too (Issue 39) reports on its first page that the ECF Manager of Arbiters has resigned and that a replacement is being sought. You could try "Ask the Directors" on the ECF website.

Thanks, John. It would be helpful if the list of officers on the website were updated to reflect this.

I've liaised with Adrian, and I think the two of us are likely to run a course alongside the Junior 4NCL in Daventry in February.

That's a FA Seminar rather than ECF Arbiter Seminar, although I have punted one interested party in your direction. :)

As ever, I would be able to secure a free venue at Warwick University for any future ECF or Fide Arbiter courses in the Midlands - as with the previous one!

Unrelated, hope to see a Fide Arbiters Course at the British Championships in the summer.
