........(I assume I wasn't the only one at the meeting!!)
But you were obviously awake at that point and paying attention, not gone to make a brew, or put the cat out etc. etc.
I was there and I did think that Malcolm mention someone has put themselves forward and it will be interesting to see who the person will be

RE: Is the office open
I've been working from home since June 1st, five days a week. Gary returned to work (from home) on the 1st July. We have been open, and I have visited the office in Battle once per week (on average) to deal with the post.

In case any forum readers are unclear, all ECF members who paid their membership by Direct Debit last year need take no action should they wish to pay by Direct Debit in 2020-2021 and remain members at the same level. We hope to put the 2020-2021 memberships on sale shortly, and current members will receive an email when we are ready. There will be a link to guidance which will explain how members can cancel a Direct Debit if they wish, how to change the payment details (such as the bank account from which the payment is to come), or what to do if they wish to change level of membership when paying by Direct Debit.
Some confusion may have arisen as a result of a tidying-up exercise undertaken by office staff on Friday 17th July, whereby around 150 Direct Debits were transferred to the Azolve membership system and from GoCardless. All affected members received an email explaining what we were doing, letting them know they need take no action. They also received a mandatory notification explaining the Direct Debit in GoCardless with the ECF had been cancelled.
Any members with queries can contact the ECF office and we will be happy to help.
Andrew,
I received this email & a notification from GoCardless saying no more payments will be taken.
I was wondering if I will need to set up a Direct Debit again, because I also received a notification from my own bank to inform me the GoCardless Direct Debit had been cancelled.
Thank-you.

Now that's a slightly unexpected and rather generous bribe :)

... with the option of a free upgrade to a higher class of membership than you need if you know you'll make use of the discount.

I have renewed my membership - a slightly confusing business, as it happens, not least because the system doesn't accept my bank details until I change my location from Spain, where I am, to United Kingdom, where I am not. I've had fun with this kind of thing before.

(Also, I find I have set up a direct debit when I was under the impression I was just authorising a single payment, but I guess I'm OK with that.)

"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Have the ECF given any indication of how many members are renewing?
The website does seem a little temperamental, & any reference to last years membership (2019-2020) is not there.
I believe the ECF inputted some memberships manually last year.

Yes.
Member's need to support the ECF.
I just thought the ECF Office might have some indication of the number of renewals they have received.
