4NCL online - bronze membership ok?

Post by Laurie Roberts » Sun Dec 12, 2021 8:56 am

I think that OTB 4NCL matches requries silver membership as they are FIDE rated. I assume 4NCL online matches can be completed with bronze membership. I've had a look at the 4NCL site and can't see anything there

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks

Over the board:

https://www.4ncl.co.uk/data/2122_rules.htm

3.4 Players registered with FIDE through federations other than England are not required to be members of the ECF.

3.5 It is the manager's responsibility to ensure that all players other than those covered by rule 3.3 become Gold or Platinum members of the ECF before they are selected to play.

Online:

https://www.4ncl.co.uk/data/onlines4/4n ... _rules.pdf

1.8 ECF membership at Supporter level or higher is required to play for players from English teams. The decision as to whether a team is English or not is at the 4NCL Management Board’s absolute discretion

Perhaps worth adding that it's possible to play one single OTB weekend (as a 'wild card') with bronze membership - see rule 6.1 et seq.
