ECF Grassroots Support Initiative

Post by Paul Cooksey » Wed Aug 14, 2024 10:39 am

I'm preparing for the Berks AGM. I think the Grassroots support initiative - 10k for each of 9 geographic regions - is one of the most notable changes.

Has anyone here submitted an application?

Other ECF activity makes it two steps forwards and one back. The additional entry fee required for non-members and league only members to enter a Congress, perhaps their first, has increased substantially. That's if Congresses don't put up the barriers to new participation by declaring "members only".

It's being coordinated in the NW by Richard Walsh (Lancs) and the NE by Andy Wainwright (Yorks) but I am not aware it has yet got to application stage

I was happy to hear at the ECF meeting we will hear about the first wave of grants in a month or so.
