It was starting to look like being something of a slog through Officers' report. Questions on various aspects of the Chief Executive's report led to that taking about ten minutes more than the Chairman was planning: this was approved with some dissent on a show of hands. The time was not made up on the Finance Director's report, but the Home Director's report was covered with commendable speed.

Meanwhile back at the Euston Square Hotel, Richard Haddrell is voting against each of the reports because he does not understand what is meant by approving an Officer's report.

We eventually got through officers' reports, and have held the BCF AGM. The significant item of business there was the approval of the appointment of Dr John Higgs as a Trustee of the John Robinson Youth Chess Trust.
