Can't say the name as that would be unfair to the ECF board. But given the above it shouldn't be too hard to emerge with a name.

The job advert/request for volunteers is no longer on the front page of the ECF website. From memory, applications didn't close until early January, so announcing an appointment within a couple of days is possibly unlikely.Carl Hibbard wrote: All quiet so far are you sure on this one?

The advert is still available on the Vacancies page. It says the Board will seek to make an appointment at its meeting on 15 January.Roger de Coverly wrote:The job advert/request for volunteers is no longer on the front page of the ECF website. 100%. It was mooted two months ago, after David Eustace turned down the job and confirmed last week. Just typical ECF always Goldplating the rules. Its been decided. Short of the candidate dropping dead or being caught in a compromising situation with a ferret he will take up the role and, I hope continue posting on this forum. The ferret was not a clueAll quiet so far are you sure on this one?

Re: ECF AGM aftermath
So a current contributor to this forum who is suitably qualified to do the job? That narrows it down quite a bit.
EDIT - I can think of a few possibilities if Martin is correct but speculation is unhelpful. That said there is one person who is worth a shot of sambucca if they get it.

Probably better able than some other candidates or past office holders at fighting off critics on forums, but better able at getting involved in fights in the first place.Carl Hibbard wrote: A bit unexpected but then he has nothing else to do.

Re: ECF AGM aftermath
Very encouraging news and with this appointment we have achieved greater "balance in the force".
Since Star Wars promotions are omnipresent I was drawn to this analogy.
