Apart from the usual, namely the levels of ECF spending, reserve building and how to raise the finance for it, there's likely to be a possibly acrimonious discussion about the future format of inter-county matches. That would depend on what the ECF Directors try to get through the meeting.

Wild cards for discussion might include who the ECF would support for election as FIDE President later this year and where the ECF stands on awarding the World Rapid and Blitz Championships to Saudi Arabia.

I suppose there's also whether the ECF should or could attempt to use Agon's World Championship match in London in some promotional manner.

I recently read, in the Evening Standard (so it could be true), that Agon were moving their operation from Moscow to London in advance of the 2018 World Chess Ch. The announcement also stated it hoped to boost chess in the capital.

Date is April 28th - I needed to ring the office to find that out a few days ago. Didn't think to check times or places!

Thanks Brendan,

Clearly the Board is expecting a record:
(a) lack of attendance
(b) male to female ratio
(c) geriatric to youth ratio
(d) gentry to plebs ratio

In that photo, it appears that all the attendees are men. I'm sure I've been to Council meetings where that would only tie the record.

I think my attendance will help combat (a), (c) and (d), but perhaps not (b) at this stage...

To be fair, that's the only detail that Council ever agrees. A venue and start time is communicated when notice of the meeting is sent out, which isn't for a few weeks yet.
