After 26... c5 I expect Adams to make it look easy.

Making hard work of it then not sure opening it up was the best plan maybe g5 instead of Rg8.

Update: looks as though Adams might be messing it up. Another sign that his form has not been scintillating, albeit good enough.

It's the same old very strong, super solid Mickey - just with the odd unexpected mistake thrown in. I make him slight favourite in any playoff still.

The n tied players will seeded, from 1 to n, based on their tournament performance rating (TPR) for the tournament.
This TPR will be calculated using the assigned ratings outlined above in this document.

Although it specifies the ratings used the document doesn't specify the method of calculatubg the TPR. Do you know the method ?

Draw for Adams when he must have been expecting more. Good news for him is that Howell appears to have no chance of winning. Indeed, his position is going from bad to worse.

Is Luke winning?

Win for Luke. His play got stronger as the tournament progressed, a common phenomenon with people who don't play much. Lovely attack with equal material, showing the value of coordinated pieces. That's my prediction gone then.

When did today's round start? I thought it was same start time as the other rounds. From the sounds of things I've missed most of the action.

10am. To allow time for a playoff in the afternoon.

Wow, Mickey went too far in not taking risks in a completely dominant position... and blunders and is now completely lost!

Just shows the dangers of "stopping playing" by trying to win by being too careful and keeping complete control. In anything like a normal game, Micky Adams would have played Rxh3 in almost an instant.
