The Henshaws came from Andover and gave their house as indicated to the club, Bridge being the main preoccupation therein. It was fifty years - November 1975 - since I played as a child in Dick Boxall's first congress and I doubt the Henshaw's were around even then. Charles Henry Henshaw played at Bognor 1959 and scored 3.5/10. His wife was Tessa donated a Bowl to the Bridge side of things. As a solicitor's clerk I spotted that the premises - rather the flat above - were rented out and subsequently sold with the ground floor still used for games. I have seen the extended refurbishments at 'Maydene' and was impressed.
