I am after a game PH Clarke-v-Johansson played at the Amsterdam Olympiad, 1954. Peter played him several times but the offending score eludes me.

The finale, which is pretty sweet, is given in 'Queen Sacrifice' by Neishtadt.

But I'd like all the moves.

It is indeed a mystery why James Pratt appears to find the provided game to be insufficient for his purpose.

Peter Clarke won only two games at Amsterdam 1954, one of them this game and the other against the minnows from Luxembourg.

That was still twice as many wins as two other members of the England team, one of them Harry Golombek who made loads of draws and the other some patzer whose name escapes me.

Peter is pictured in the front row of this historic photo, taken on the rest day excursion and published in Edward Winter's Chess Notes. His opponent in the above game, Ingi Johannsson, is also shown.

The said patzer obviously worked hard to improve his chess after that. On his next, and final, two appearances for the England Olympiad team, he won a total of 11 games.
