Re: Britbase Updates
Here's a garbled game score which had me stumped. I wonder if any forum member would like to see if they could come up with a better solution than mine.
The score is from the Western Daily Press for Wednesday 11 April 1928...
Often the problem with online archives is legibility of the scan but here it is the moves. My attempt at ungarbling it is given below...
Good luck!

Re: Britbase Updates
I've just uploaded a PGN file with 254 games (and two part-games) from the 1995/96 4NCL season.
https://www.saund.org.uk/britbase/pgn/1 ... iewer.html
In all 728 were scheduled for that season of which ten were defaults. ChessBase's Mega/Big Database 2022 had 173 games (with stubs for all the remaining games), so I've found a further 81 plus 2 part-games.
Given that many of those who played in 1995/96 are still active, we might yet hope to add significant numbers of games from that season.

Re: Britbase Updates
Happy New Year, happy new game from Lacey-Hulbert, but thankfully not just him.
The selection ends with a rarity, a double under-promotion to a Knight. Is this the only example?

Nice - O.C. Muller was an interesting character.

Re: Britbase Updates
Small correction to the game Drewitt-Muller - there should be a black pawn on a6...

Here's a poser. What does the computer suggest for Black on move 11 rather than allowing mate in one?

Re: Britbase Updates
I would probably play 11...Nc6; don't know if it's best.
