Yes - when ECF rant about this place Caroline Dinenage-style, they should consider that it does sometimes lead us to gems like this.

I do hope that the Mr Passant that played AL at least gave one of his children the initials EN.

Sadly not, but his brother, also a chess player, was NE Passant. He really should have reversed his first names.

That 1935 game with Rupert Cross was featured in the first ever issue of CHESS magazine.
