That's extraordinary.
I played someone quite weak at CC, who played a ridiculous move in the opening, and explained that he knew it was lost but he had actually touched the piece when analysing so felt he had to move it. I took his queen and explained at the same time that he really didn't have to do that. But he was very inexperienced, not playing in an ICCF event... It is however a nice contrast to the people who play under assumed names or have a very strong player telling them what to do.
