There's a setting on a DGT2010 which will buzz every 10 (or x) seconds. It's not terribly loud though.

That's another issue - even when we had a loudish buzzer, before it broke, our partially or totally deaf players were frustrated that people stood in front of the buzzer and talked to each other!

That sound delightfully grand Andrew! (Having spent well over half my life thinking of the turn of the century as meaning 1900 I was particularly impressed). Why not go the whole hog and next time say "around the beginning of the millenium"? :-)
