So he is eligible for tournaments U2200. But that may not help his chess nor improve his rating.
We will find out in 6 years time.
I believe he is weaker than Howell and McShane at a comparable age but still room for improvement.

When I was 8/9 I wanted to be a train driver and then an astronaut.
Those that teach in our part of the world do not want to limit any child's aspirations.
