Why is it that in
24...Ne5! is a great move?

The first one at least should be fairly obvious.
White cannot capture on d5 as the Q retakes with check, winning a piece - the awkwardly placed Bd4.
15.....d5! opens up the position to take advantage of that, and eliminates the possibility of a backward d-pawn causing Black problems.
White will have to play precisely even to stay in the game.

In
instead of 14.Bf4,he says:"I think 14.Nb3 Qc6 15. Be3 would better meet the requirements of the position". What are them and why is the comment?
