Well, the obvious answer is "play faster".

The perhaps more helpful answer is "how about 15.Nxe7 bxc3 16.Nxc8". Your bishop should be stronger than the knight in the resulting position.

I anticipated 16. Nxg6 in your line. The battery on the c-file could paralyze me

Particularly as White looks to be fine at the point where his flag fell.

Bermuda's Olympiad captain, Nick de Firmian, was an early theorist in these lines and I remember that he preferred 14.h4 to the piece sacrifice.

Bronstein, possibly not in the context of sharp Sicilians suggested you should work these things out in the peace and quiet of home study, rather than consume time at the board.

25.Bxd7 looks horrible unless you've actually got a forced win as a result; why give up your lovely bishop for that horrible knight?

Interesting. My Stockfish suggests that 23.Qg4 wins a piece instead of 23.Rd1

It should be said that follows is probably more than Soheil was bargaining for when he enquired where he went wrong...

Working forwards, instead of backwards -

... 4... Bd7 5.Nf3 Bc6 (the "Fort Knox" var. so called as it is tough for W to crack) 6. Bd3 Be7 7.O-O Nd7 8.Ne5!? (may be premature? 8.Qe2, or Pc4, gain more traction) 8... Ngf6!? (instead 8... Nxe5 would ease B's position) 9.Nxc6 (good move) bxc6 10.c3 O-O 11.Ng5!? (Qe2, or Re1, seem sensible) 11... h6!? (needlessly weakening the k-side, 11... c5 looks like the right reply) 12.Nf3 c5 13...

17.Bb5!? (Bc2, instead retains an edge for W) 17... Bh4?! (Pa6, at least puts the question to the bishop, in time) 18.Be5!? (better 18 Nc6 first, then Be5, with a clearer advantage) Nd7 19.Nc6 Qc8?! (Qe8 may be better) 20.c4!? (Bd4 may be best) 20... Ne7? (Nxe5 was necessary) 21.Bc3 Nxc6?! (some other N move would have helped B more) 22.Bxc6 (W is winning) Rb8 23.Rad1!? (23.Qg4! is stronger now than a move later, as was played)

So, where are we? W has done nothing really wrong, so far, but could have done better at several points in the game and is still winning, but the (time-trouble?) rot begins to set in...

25.Bxd7? (Ph4, instead, is winning) Rxd7 26.f4 (W has still the advantage of the initiative for a putative k-side attack) 26... f5! (the right response to start a fightback!)

... 28.Qg6? (the wrong response, 28.Rd2 would keep more advantage) 28... Rf7 29.h3? (weak, Rd2 was much better) 29... Bf6 (gets B out of a hole...) 30.Rf3?! (Qg3) Bxc3 31.bxc3?! (Rxc3 is still equalish) Rf6 32.Qg3...

35.Rg3?! (starting to dig a hole)... 37... Kh7! (covering a hole and with a slight advantage now to B)...

39.Qh3? (digging further into the hole, 39.Ra1 and W can try to hang on, but probably too late now) 39... Rf2 (Rxa2 is quicker and more directly winning)...

40.Kg3? (!holey moley, the K has shut the Q in the coalhole!)... 0-1

After that I'm going out for some air, now.

Perhaps trade into the Knight v Bishop ending at move 34, park the Knight on c5 and invade with the King on the dark squares. At the very least it keeps the game under control.

At around move 50 in the Rook ending, you may have to accept that it's gone wrong and take the repetition.

Move 59 is an outright blunder, again I suppose repetition is best.

57 Kd6 looks much better too. For example 57...Rb1 58 b7
