Our offering is unique in that we Team GB [sic]
This raises an interesting point though. I saw that you'd used the term Team GB on your website, for instance here. e.g.
Great Britain Junior Squad Team GB Official World Tour events
and
To become a Team GB player you have to play and qualify in Great Britain tournament which is held every 6 months.
But isn't Team GB a trademark?
Team GB is the brand name used since 1999 by the British Olympic Association (BOA) for their Great Britain and Northern Ireland Olympic team. The brand was developed after the 1996 Summer Olympics, and is now a trademark of the BOA.
Couple of other things. When you write, for instance
Represent the Great Britain Junior Squad in our official ‘World Tour’ events
isn't that giving the impression that this is some kind of official, representative squad? Since that's not the case, isn't it patently misleading?

And talking of "official", what does it mean here?
Great Britain Junior Squad Official Bean Bag Chair
On what basis is this merchandise being advertised as "official"?

Obvs there would be no dispute at all about the number of tournament victories if Charlie simply listed them - providing all relevant details.

Somehow I suspect this isn’t going to happen.

I have bow won 168 Opens a average of winning 1 in every 2 that I have entered.

I would be surprised if anyone else has a better than 50 percent winning ratio for Open tournaments victories, possibly Arkell or Hebden.
I didn't believe you, so I checked your open results over the past 10 years. I make it 9 first or equal first out of 31 entered.

That is 29%
That's a considerably better percentage than his results on Chess Results (enter "Storey, C" as the search criteria), where he has 5 wins out of 36 individual tournaments (14%), or 5 out of 33 (15%) if you exclude foreign tournaments.

I was pretty sure I already knew the answer, but I checked anyway. Fancy that.

The whole thing looks iffy to be honest but I will tidy up the other thread tomorrow.

International Chess Master Coaches. Implies they are Official Chess Masters with vast Internatioal event Coaching not International Masters.

In any event you will find my chess rating of 3009 on Chess24.com not only higher than nearly ever IM on the planet but higher than over 50 per cent of GMs on the planet.

I am impressed by your pedantic nature and bias research and would welcome you into our organisation, although you would need a 1 hour crash course on qualitative research.

Let me know if you are interested in helping give parents a new choice / opportunity to have their kids have a wonderful International chess experience.

Too help with your research, you will find many of my Open victories were won before Chess Results and even before the Internet became main stream. Reat assured I feel humbled you are so amazed at my 168 Open wins statistics.
May as well throw in last year I beat GM Gawain Jones in a blitz game on Chess.com

Now go check all the facts...Discuss.

Greetings fellow Chess colleagues / Trolls / Stealth Competitor Antagonists

Yesterday I had a dormant company waiting in the wings called Artificial Intelligence Digital Marketing.

The name was changed to Chess Team GB yesterday!

May take a few days to show up on a search.

As the research quality is so poor on this thread I will give the data analysts a helping hand:

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11633897est Just search for Chess Team GB

Our Junior organisation is 100 per cent transparent.

Grab an Oar.

Charlie

If you expect this claim to be believed, you will have to list the victories somewhere. It's like Ray Keene's claim of multiple national titles. He includes team events which wouldn't normally be included. Similarly if the total includes county and club championships, or even Blitz and Rapid events, it's stretching it a bit to include them in a total of "Open" victories.

Also the phrasing International (some other word) Masters could be regarded as misleading.

Thank You Roger,

I feel no desire to back up my claims, just know I am a man of sincerity, honesty, integrity and ethics.

All good things Charlie.

Well apparently it was more than 70 in 2011 so I reckon we need to find at least an average ten a year since then.

That's cool, but bear in mind that these claims are made in the context of a commercial proposition, so we might be looking at obligation here, as much as desire.

In most years, according to the ECF grading history, Charlie only plays a relative handful of tournaments. His definition of "Open" must be somewhat different what's generally accepted.

Let me clarify an Open as I understand it;

A Chess tournament which anyone can enter, typically it will also have a Major and a Minor Section.

I once won a British Rapidplay event (2009 ish) on the middle weekend of a British Championship, defeating GM Gawain Jones in that British Championship Rapidplay event. Does that mean it was only Open to British players. My definition is that this was an Open.

There is no trace of this fantastic result. Even though the event featured Live Boards on Chess Results or in many ECF publications - not sure why that was.

I would welcome a 12 game match v GM Jones if someone wants to SPONSOR or see an incredible attacking theoretical match.

My definition seems correct.

Our first official event is going to be in Misk Belarus at end of August - The World Tour Qualifier is planned for November 2019 - Strict transparent placing order determines who will be a Team GB player for those 6 months, more importantly who is eligible for our World Tour. https://greatbritainjuniorsquad.com/world-tour/

As this is our first event we are taking chess juniors who would like some experience in International events guided by the most qualified Chess teacher in the UK (me) and some other coaches - GMs and FM and others depending on numbers.

Yes Roger, I normally have 2 jobs Chess Coach plus one other;

I have had;

Semi pro Footballer / Blyth Spartans / West Allotment Celtic
Football Coach
Football Referee
International DJ - Cala Dor Mallorca - Tiger Tiger - Flares
Website Creator / Developer
Ethical Hacker / Consultant / Wriiten a book how to be an Ethical Hacker
Business Studies A Level Teacher
Computer Science A Level teacher
Grandmaster Norm event organiser

To make ends meet and satisfy my interests I have not played as many events as I would like, as the above was quite time consuming!
- I am dedicating myself entirely to chess for a while to create an incredible organisation and then offer all of our services to any Great Britain Federation.

I was raised in poverty and now even though my family is worth over £50 million I would not dream of asking them for a penny and would rather be successful on my own merits - hence my incredible capacity for hard work!

i have a Tuesday show on chessclub.com called The Super Human Chess Engine where I explain how I have helped many Juniors to become National Chess Champions and how I have won 168 Opens - (based upon my definition)

i will have to do some work on this for a while so will not be able to respond for the next few hours to any questions.
