A super collection of lots.
The Chess Pies are really quite sought after and should raise a tidy sum.

Re: Edinburgh Chess Club
I see this have moved to here, I never saw this one, I only received all the details yesterday.
I'll be getting my cheque book out when we get around to selling off the more modern doublers.
(I estimate we must have 1,000 to sell....watch this space...or the books for sale thread.)
There are CapaTal Chess's in amongst the Thompson Roddick sale. I may make a bid to stop them from falling
into the wrong hands (lawyers and alike, I'm too old and poor to be dragged through the courts defending law suits.)
I looked at a few and cringed, TBH there is nothing nasty in there but the analysis and some of the on my soap box comments are truly awful.
Some think I'm crazy now, you should have read the nonsense I wrote in the 70's and 80's.
I asked for them not be sold (I'm truly embarrassed) but the money raised is for a good cause.
(they say it is for electronic scoreboards etc but we all know it will go on holidays abroad for the club president and treasurer.)

If you don't want to defend law suits, it's probably best not to say things like that!

Re: Edinburgh Chess Club
Hi Simon,
Can you PM me their name, else I'll be saying 'Hello' to all the new Wandering Dragons members.
My squad of new juniors, (my previous team of Cubs who won Division III has been decimated by Edinburgh teams poaching and plucking them like ripe apples.) are due to play the Dragons in a Summer competition.
