PROJECT RESEARCHER
Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC) is a charity recently established to promote chess amongst young people. It is working in association with the London Chess Classic tournament and the initiative to bring the 2012 World Championship to London.
CSC is seeking a self motivated individual to work full time as a Researcher on an initial 3 month contract. Based in Baker Street, London or working from home, the successful candidate will be responsible for a study of chess in schools in England and Wales, identifying existing initiatives, areas of excellence and activity. Research will also focus on the chess activity in the broader community and the game’s popularity in other countries and may involve work with a market research / polling company.
- Good technical, organisational, interpersonal and presentational skills a pre-requisite.
- Marketing background, knowledge of education or junior chess an advantage.
Salary by negotiation.

PROJECT FIELD WORKERS (2)
Chess in Schools and Communities (CSC) is a charity recently established to promote chess amongst young people. It is working in association with the London Chess Classic tournament and the initiative to bring the 2012 World Championship to London.
CSC is seeking two self-motivated individuals to work full time as Field Workers developing the charity’s pilot plan which will involve the introduction of chess into a minimum of 60 primary schools around the UK in the first two years. Based in Baker St central London but also involving travelling to schools around the UK, the successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with head teachers, teachers, parents, LEA’s and voluntary bodies as well as conducting chess classes in primary schools.
- CRB Clearance will be required, experience of teaching in primary schools or of working with young people an advantage. The successful candidate will have excellent inter-personal skills and the energy and enthusiasm to bring chess to a network of schools around England and Wales.

Does this not conflict with the ECF combination of CfS and CoM or can both exist at the same time?
