Thanks both. I am now keen to see the advertised photo.

I have a vague idea it turned up in the reports published in one or both of BCM and Chess.

Chessbase had some kind of shot. Alas though the TWIC reports don't seem to have retained it.

And, by the way, I am quite excited about England's prospects in this thing. I think they will benefit a lot by having Jonathan Speelman in the team. Team spirit counts for a helluva a lot, and I can vouch for the fact that not only is he an amazing player but he is psychologically the ideal kind of guy you can't help but love playing alongside.

The full result is worth another look, no Caruana, Nakamura, So etc

USA 2½ - 1½ China
GM Swiercz, D. 2655 ½-½ GM Ding, Liren 2812
GM Sevian, S. 2642 ½-½ GM Yu, Yangyi 2761
GM Onischuk, A. 2647 ½-½ GM Wei, Yi 2733
GM Lenderman, A. 2637 1-0 GM Ni, Hua 2683

Lenderman's match winning key idea of trapping the queen in the middle of the board was pretty incredible.

The tweet refers also to the American women who were clearly inspired as well!

Hungary 1 3 USA
GM Hoang, T. T. 2454 ½-½ WGM Abrahamyan 2377
IM Gara, Anita 2384 ½-½ WGM Nemcova, K. 2315
WGM Gara, Ticia 2324 0-1 FM Yip, Carissa 2279
WIM Terbe, J. 2306 0-1 WCM Wu, Rochelle 2120

round 3 board pairings
All England games seemingly stuck in the opening, no moves for an hour or more.

Well that's a shame. I'm free today a couple of hours earlier than expected, and I rather fancied watching that.

I have no doubt that the problems experienced in live transmission are harder to solve than a layman such as myself would imagine. However, it really is time for FIDE to make solving them a top priority.

Adams has drawn in 31 moves which are now visible. Gawain's game has crept along to move 17.

Russia 1.5-0.5 up against China.

Commentators just reported all four games drawn in England-USA match.

China in trouble again as Nepo' beat Yu Yangyi and Wei Yi looks close to lost.

I suspect that FIDE didn't send their own experts, but relied on the resources available to the local organisers.

I suspect that you are right, but I don't care. One way or another, FIDE must ensure that the live feed from its prestige events does not fall over. It is a very bad look.
