Congratulations to Lawrence Trent who finished 1st= on 7/9, ahead of Gawain Jones on 6.5 and Stephen Gordon on 6.
Dieppe Challenge Match
http://pokemonchess.blogspot.com/
Congratulations to Sarah Hegarty who won her match 3-1 against Salomé Neuhauser. The match was played with the time limit of 25 minutes for the whole game with an additional ten seconds being added after every move. The idea was to match a promising young French player against England's leading Under 21 woman player and it was great for Sarah to be involved in an event like this. Women's chess has a much higher profile in France and I would like to thank Glenn Flear who contacted the ECF and helped to set up the match.
