Kenya Youth Chess Championship...

Post by A.Kluckova » Sat Apr 06, 2019 1:45 pm

...just started in Kenya, from the 6th till the 8th of April , 7 rounds, 90 min/each/game.

What makes it interesting?
In 12 sections ( the same as the WYCC or EYCC use) - B/G 8,10,12,14,16,18 will play around 1600 players .
The most occupied female section is G-16 with 205 players.
The most occupied male section is B-18 with 190 players.
Well done Kenya .

That's impressive. How many other nations can match (or better?) that?

Three that spring to mind: USA certainly. South Africa and France probably - they're at least of comparable size.
