Surely a transcription error on Black's 16th move [...Rd8] in Plat v Merry in round 3 as 16...Rxa8 must have been played

Yes, for some reason the digiboard software had added a few extra moves which had to be removed by the operator.

I assume that, in the course of moving his rook across to capture on a8, Black allowed it to rest momentarily on d8 and that triggered off the following sequence of non-moves which required manual correction.
