And Grischuk has gone for a long think, over half an hour on move 18 so far
It's who he is, it's what he does.
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Humour me and explain why not just 21 Bf4 repeating
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Indeed, 53 minutes in total, and then another 21 minutes on the next move :roll: Now at move 26 with only 2 min 25 sec left

Round-up:

Caruana was better against Nepo, but since then the latter seems to have played more accurately than the former ;

Similarly Giri has defended well against any edge Ding may or may not have had ;

Grischuk's amazingly eccentric time management should probably have cost him the game against MVL, but the White player missed his chance and once against, any advantage appears to have disappeared ;

Wang seems not to have had anything much against Alekseenko.

"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Caruana still playing, but the other 3 are draws; maybe Grischuk will get 14 draws from time trouble

Grischuk appears not to have arrived for the start (EDIT: as I write, the camera shows him turning up late).

Interesting predictions; anyone want to change now you've seen the openings?
