Warmerdam (who beat Antón but lost to Abdusattorov) beats Smeets (who beat Abdusattorov but lost to Antón).

Abdusattorov is cruising to victory against Saduakassova and L'Ami has completely turned it around against Eljanov, so I'm not 100% sure it's done and dusted yet.

I read a tweet from Ramesh that was congratulating Sohum, and somehow deduced that they were working together.

I suspect that you may be partly correct and whilst Jonathan is his full time coach that others are also helping him.

That's where we disagree. I consider it unreasonable. What is the problem with self-certification? If your watch is a cheap digital or any analogue, it isn't smart, so what's the issue?

There 's a claim here that anything with a battery in it meets the definition of an "electronic device" in the Laws, in an article explaining why a player was defaulted for wearing a battery operated watch.

The FIDE Laws are deficient because they do not define what is meant by an "electronic device" in the glossary, or anywhere else.

If the author's opinion is correct it would be illegal for me to have my car keys with me while playing.

One might hope that if an arbiter in the UK tried it on by claiming that car keys or a battery powered watch was a banned electronic device, it would trigger a mass walk out. But maybe they have more sense.

The clock and the sensory board are electronic devices, but arbiters are allowed to permit certain electronic devices.
