Paravyan won the event after a play-off.

The opening Simultaneous Display on Sunday 19th January was given by Anatoly Karpov. In a tremendous tour de force, lasting over 4 hours, he emerged with a score of +25, =4, -0.

Details can be found at http://chess-results.com/tnr508591.aspx ... art=2&rd=1.

One of his opponents was called Robert Fischer. They drew.
Is there maybe a PGN of the simul available somewhere, or some games at least? From what i saw on the official website, the round 4 and 5 games of the Amateurs B section haven’t been shared.

There is one game from the Challengers B section that I couldn’t attribute to anybody: a drawn game listed as played between Freck (sic) Schouten and Andoni Fernandez Lopateji (sic), albeit both players (Andoni Lopategi and Freek Schouten) received a point each because their opponents defaulted:

It would be worth contacting the organisers. There were pgns which were not up-loaded in 2019 and Stuart Conquest resolved this promptly when I raised it directly.

It's common practise in British tournaments to offer players with a bye or walkover a friendly game against someone else without an opponent. It's likely this game did take place between these two players, but didn't count towards the tournament results, although it would have been submitted for rating.

Gibraltar was likely running under British conventions. It's quite usual to offer a re-paired rated game to players who wouldn't otherwise have an opponent.
