The format of the tournament for 2021 has been adapted to meet the COVID-19 guidelines and measurements from local authorities and the RIVM. The Tata Steel Chess Tournament is normally visited by several chess enthusiasts. It is an opportunity for them to see the top of the chess players in action at close quarters. The organisation would like to offer this opportunity to chess enthusiasts in 2021 as well. However, this will have to be in an adapted format. The possibility to allow visitors to the Tata Steel Chess Tournament depends on the measurements of the local authorities at the time of the start of the event.
Looks like the Masters, unsurprisingly, won't have any trips to other locations for any of the rounds

Does not look like there will be any amateur sections or side events.

Good to see Mamedyarov playing, as not seen his name mentioned too much over the last few months, plus forum favourite Dubov

4 of the Candidates playing, so the usual question of whether they will be hiding their prep

Kicks off in a week or so but I wouldn't want to delay your enjoyment of the impressively horrid image at the head of the website.

"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

MVL has arrived too

Any chance this could be merged into the thread in International chess, which is where we'd normally expect it?

I agree with Mick, so I am posting his request here.

The other thread is at www.ecforum.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10974
