But claiming norms!! The Chief Arbiter is listed as AI. I assume this means an un-named International Arbiter rather than an artificial intelligence.
According to the Italian Chess Federation website, the GM and IM norm tournaments have been cancelled. It's not clear whether this also applies to a linked Weekend Congress.

One of the participants - GM Checa - told me yesterday that he is participating in it?

*edit* The clarification is that its a "tour"? the first leg of which has been cancelled, the rest are scheduled to take place

I'm not sure the Italians would consider this an obscure event. But I think we should keep the thread going until the Scottish Championship is announced so we can troll Alex.

Alex scares me too much.
He looks and sounds like Prince Vultan from Flash Gordon.

Daniel Fernandez also won the following events:
2021 City of Sydney Rapid on 18th April
2021 City of Sydney Blitz on 16th May

He seems to be on very good form. Well done Daniel.

I'm afraid all OTB events in New Zealand have been postponed or cancelled due to a Covid outbreak in the country.
There are plenty of events taking place in Australia that I have found.
