In that case they also strangely played an identical game to Louise yesterday. Hopefully it doesn't mean there was a default, so yesterdays game has been left showing (which was a draw)

all relatively quiet so far though Luke's position certainly seems the easier to play, and well, you trust Gawain in that kind of KID mess.

the engine lines on chessbomb at move 26 in gawain's game are quite something

and the opponent has just played something other than the computer's first move (31). it was still the second best move, though.

gawain plays a tempo. SF now of the view that it should be tenable even if white keeps his nerve.

I think we deserved our win today. Gawain's attack was strong in a practical sense and you don't expect your opponent to show computer like defence indefinitely.

France could beat Russia, if lagarde holds his nerve.
