(Couldn't see that there's a thread for this event so have created one.)

Duda had a fantastic finish in the round 3 game from his match against Giri.

White to play and win, move 28:
Full game here.

Edit: Daniel King analyses the game here.

I don't normally pay much attention to these events but tuned into this commentary at exactly the right moment - just before Carlsen played 21... Nxe5 in the third game. I can recommend watching the commentary for the rest of the game - it's fair to say that Leko wasn't a fan of Giri's 22. dxe5.

The alternative commentary is with Jovanka and David Howell on the chess24 Twitch channel.

Day 5 commentary from Peter Leko and Rustam Kasimdzhanov. Well worth watching IMO. Commentary from David Howell, Simon Williams, Jovanka Houska & Kaja Snare also available - click on the same link and then the first(?) Union Jack icon below the video window.

I'm wondering what the anti-cheating measures are for this tournament. The video coverage shows players - including Magnus Carlsen - who are playing while wearing headphones - could these be used to receive advice? And I just saw Mamedyarov get up from his seat after losing a game to Le and directly behind him, just a few feet away, was someone holding a mobile phone. Screenshot:

Carlsen is one of four players playing from the San Francisco site which I assume is strictly monitored including their choice of music.

Mamedyarov is playing from the World Team Championship in Israel with the deputy arbiter there monitoring his games.
