The main event finished in a tie for first place on 7/9. Congratulations to GMs Mark Hebden, David Howell, Romain Edouard & Andrei Istratescu who finished half a point clear of GMs Danny Gormally & Yuri Drozdovskij, IM Dennis Breder and WGM Natalia Zdebskaya. David finished with a 2645 performance and Mark 2612.
Congratulations to Jonathan Hawkins who gained his final IM norm after a win in round 9. I believe he has also gone above 2400 during the event so he has fulfilled all the requirements of the IM title (subject to confirmation).
On the junior front, Peter Williams scored 5.5 and performed at 2353 gaining 57 points whilst David Grant also scored 5.5 performing at 2329 and gaining 46 points.Amy Hoare scored 3/8 with a performance of 2013 and gained another 28 elo points to add to the 51 she gained on the last list.

It's nice being spoilt for choice in reporting tournament wins for English players. Let's hope it carries on like this.
