I just came accross this tournament taking place in London from 14/10 starring Shreyas Royal & Bodhana Sivanandan. Looks very interesting.

The original line up has been dropping like flies, I believe Duda is the latest to go and will be replaced by Parham.

An unusual move rate these days.
30 Moves in 60 Min. / 20 Moves in 30 Min. / 30 Min.
Why not just G/120? Putting in intermediate controls does speed the game up a bit, since they will have to reach move 50 before 90 minutes is up.
It remains to be seen whether the time control as stated will be programmed into the clocks or whether the usual jeopardy periods will apply when the clock shows a misleading time remaining.

In the absence of increments, all they allowing "unable to win" claims by players extremely short of time? I'm not sure an arbiter would always feel confident about giving an adverse ruling against a world class player.

In the days of adjourments I suggested a similar rate for club championships and league play. That would have been 36 moves in 90 minutes (first session) followed by 24 moves in another 60 minutes and then 30 minutes to finish. That spreads the game over six hours rather than four.
