There will be a splendid chess festival in Stockholm in April. The line-up includes Judit Polgár, Levy Rozman, Anna Cramling, Pia Cramling, Andrea Botez and Nils Grandelius. Magnus will attend digitally. Its first day coincides with the final day of the massive Swedish school chess competition, Schackfyran. Held at the magnificent Avicii arena, it will be the biggest ever chess event in Sweden with thousands of people expected to attend the multifarious activities. English will be widely spoken at this international event.

The prize money for the 1 Day Handicap Blitz tournament looks pretty good - SEK 50,000 (approx £4,000) 1st prize - although a foreign winner would have 15% tax deducted.
