It would be unlikely that the top 4 in the Grand Swiss wouldn't already be qualified for the World Cup in some other way. Perhaps more to the point, assuming the top 4 are already qualified, how will the now spare places be allocated? If they remain in the Grand Swiss, players some way down the finishing order might now get World Cup slots.
