If this isn't too personal, what would you say your average "wage" as a chess professional was?

I assume you are paid by someone - not necessarily the organisers - for entering events like the British, along with associated prizes you win. How important are other aspects, e.g. coaching, book writing, simuls? Are they, for instance, more profitable than simply playing in lots of tournaments?

I posted on another thread somewhere a few months ago that my ''wage'' is well below the national average,but enough to meet my living needs.
I do a very small amount of coaching,I give a large number of simuls,and I am currently writing my first book.The simuls I see as an integral part of the full- time chess player's life

Edouard and Gormally getting double colours surprised me but there's probably an obvious reason why it wasnt Gormally-Edouard and Howell-Istratescu that I'm completely missing
