I don't fit into the clever category but at the moment she has a performance of 2452 against an average of just under 2313. The various rating performances needed are WIM norm = 2250, WGM 2400, IM 2450, GM 2600. It's a bit early to quote a required score as her average could still change drastically.

Other relevant points are that she needs to play at least 5 titled players, no more than 66% (6 out of 9) from any one country and at least 2 nationalities other than her own. She seems well placed with this, she will have played 4 titled players (Wantalo is an FM) after round six and so one more will suffice, hopefully she will play at least three players (needs one more) who aren't Dutch.

There's a long way to go but it's fair to say she is well placed.
Thanks for this Loz...perfectly explained !

anyone watching the live Sabrina game? She looks to be doing fine to me (assuming she is happy with a draw !)...we are on move 17.

I think she's going to have to grovel to get her half-point. White is much more active, Sabrina has a weak d-pawn and her king also might cause her a slight problem.

hmm...interesting...you may well be right...possibly because I think she may prefer the wild attacking type of game (rather than a positional GM grind that she may well face ) ...Good call...but I REALLY hope you are wrong !

I think her position has been a bit uncomfortable from the opening, she's not made any obvious mistakes but, as often happens, the higher rated player's position is a bit easier to play and the opponent is under pressure to keep the disadvantage manageable. She's a fighter though so fingers crossed.

No, but I think she can draw provided she doesn't allow b5-b6-b7 etc I think she has to start checking after 62 Ka6

Yes Rf6+ drew, but Kc6 earlier won for her opponent rather than a7, kg3 was the mistake I think. It just shows how hard rook and pawn endings are :(, particularly when you have no time :(
