Can England still perform to their seeding overall if they win here and in the last round? In the top match, China beat France - any ideas who China will play in the final round?
Chris - I vote you are the man to tell Nosher that he has to play tomorrow on 1.5/5 to ensure Mickey wins the board prize (assuming that is a possibility).

Heh. I think Navara will be in contention, so Mickey will probably need to play.

He'd be well within his rights to tell you to get stuffed. Tomorrow is a rest day.

Incidentally, I have just noticed that Akshaya has scored enough (50%) to get the WCM title. No doubt she will have higher ambitions than that.

There seemed to be a double default in Libya-Pakistan today. What's the story on that?

Libya only have three players

Pakistan had the players, but the board 2 had only played in two matches.

Perhaps the rule is that you have to be present in order to win by default.

I'd guess so, but in that case you'd wonder why they didn't turn up.

The game Adhiban-Baramidze still going after 124 moves ( Rook v. Rook and Knight.) Could be a draw !

So is Chaves-Chevannes. It too is a Rook and Knight vs Rook coincidentally enough.

It's England - Wales in the Women's!

The men have Cuba. Adams will be a worthy board 1 winner if he beats Dominguez!

She's rated over 2000; she could claim the WCM title anyway if she really wanted it.

The chess-results site lists the potential titles and Norms. There's a long list of (W)CM and (W)FM titles up for grabs, relatively few (W)IM and (W)GM Norms though.
