Just saw this update from Emil Sutovsky (ACP President) which I assume is going to mean the games will start at 7pm GMT

"Carlsen-Karjakin games will start at 2pm local time/8pm CET/10pm Moscow. It will be the first time for many years the title match does not start at 3pm local time. Commendable flexibility - it will allow better hours for the live broadcast by NRK (all the games are to be shown live on Norwegian TV), and also fellow Muscovites will still have a chance to see it. Sorry for the Russians who live in Siberia, and millions of Indians fans - but starting even earlier would be too tough for the players - both of them used to wake up fairly late. Less than a month to the start - the countdown has begun!"

He also said "The broadcast of moves will be allowed to all. Free of charge. But there will be a premium package, including video, commentary, some new technology, etc..."

Carlsen prepares for match by going undercover in NY and playing random locals. It must be quite a challenge going incognito with Liv Tyler and a host of media cameras in tow. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... Tyler.html

It appears that it's possible that Ilyumzhinov will be issued with a limited visa to visit the WC match in New York. According to Izvestia the US Embassy in Moscow asked him for more documentation regarding his application for the visa.

Chess game will take longer. Time for a new thread on the match itself? Who would like to do the honours?

It seems Agon were looking for some volunteers at the venue , but it seems Fischer boom players are deemed to be too old !
I noticed this on the AGON website .....
" We need some friendly, self-motivated and responsible volunteers, ages 18 to 40, to welcome delegates, provide navigation, customer service, chess activation, cloakroom services and storage staff, etc."

Would one for every game be too confusing?
