I guess it was inevitable that the website would crash once you announced David Sedgwick's entry to the forumMick Norris wrote:Website is working now

Allied with David's shock comment that he is expecting to do indifferently, I assume everyone is checking the Major entries to see who to put their money onLawrenceCooper wrote:I guess it was inevitable that the website would crash once you announced David Sedgwick's entry to the forumMick Norris wrote:Website is working now

Thereby hangs a small tale.Kevin Thurlow wrote:"I guess it was inevitable that the website would crash once you announced David Sedgwick's entry to the forum "

On the Monday morning after the end of the 2015 IoM International, the arbiting team were packing up equipment etc at the venue.
I was deputed to clear the analysis room. Having taken the equipment to the collection point, I went back to check that nothing had been left behind.
At that moment the fire alarm went off. I walked down the stairs, not of course using the lift, and, with my duties completed, not only left the building but departed from the entire venue.
So my very last act as an arbiter at the IoM International was to evacuate the premises owing to a fire alarm.

The top three pairings are all "Battle of the Sexes", was this engineered?

FM Marina Brunello v Wesley So
Nakamura v Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant
Board 4: Alan Tate v Mickey Adams

They are adjacent in the rankings. It looks as if there may have been a little creativity with players whose presence for the first round is uncertain, given the first round pairings have Bellaiche Anthony against TO BE PAIRED on board 42 .Tim Harding wrote: The top three pairings are all "Battle of the Sexes", was this engineered?
The other players facing TO BE PAIRED are at the tail end of the pairings, so excluded from the main draw.
